An evening

They call me a freak
But I'm not trying to wreck
This is a stupid speak
Cause my emotions is on a leak.

All this can I do for your sake,
Won't help if my hands do the make
It's me the heart which is about break
I have lost both the control and the brake

Then you tried to make me look sick
You forgot I was not that weak
Here it's not me who's wearing a wig
May be for you it isn't that big

On the wall I hear the tick
But this is beyond this nick
There was once a tree with a twig
What is left, is nothing more than a gig!!!

Beasted!!

Homo Sapiens, or as we all know in common terms "Human Beings", have been dwelling for a long time in a make believe society, defined by the tall sky scrappers built all over, surrounded by highly improvised techniques to make our lives our so much easier so that we some times tend to forget that even we had been "wild" at some points of time (as a matter of fact, we have had been in the wild more than we have been in the civilized world!!). We generally overlook the fact that even we were actually kind of roamers in the those dense and wild forests, where the ones who couldn't kill became the "kill" themselves!!! So no matter how hard we try we can never deny the fact that we still have the wild instincts inside us!!! And these wild instincts are those which sometimes drive us into doing certain things we could never have imagined ourselves doing!!
Well I am not in any way trying to infer that these instincts are the ones to be blamed for our undoing always, because in more cases than not, these instincts are the ones that take us over situations, which stare right into our eyes demanding stern steps and decisions!! But then there is no denying the fact that sometimes we actually end up doing things which the society no longer deems as civilized. However, that is one more aspect of the human nature - "the society". True, that human beings are social beings, but how much are we willing to sacrifice to be considered "one among them". Once a very wise man installed this peculiar idea in my mind (which I personally believe is not completely obsolete!!), that we all have traits of everything in each of us, only the amount makes the difference. Even biology would agree to this point, that genes that can suppress the effects of other, wins the battle and becomes the trait of that individual.
Same is the case with our society. A bunch of individuals acting in a particular fashion is defined as sane for them, and anybody who doesn't, is outcast and looked down upon. A point can easily be made at this juncture, that the society is based on historical patterns and that the chances of failure could be minimized if the "general path" is taken, the one that has been tested and corrected throughout the various stages of our evolution. But, here I ask, isn't that defying the laws of natural selection and hence the eventual evolution? I wonder how many monkeys must have had their heartiest of laughs when one of them started to stand on two legs, but the stance of our generation is based on those who made the different choice!!!
So that boils down to a very severely crude question. Why define some laws and then feel the pain of not being able to stick to those. As put by one very revered friend of mine: "Why wear clothes? Only because some person ages ago thought it was wise? What if all mankind decide to go naked? Would that be the end of the world?". I felt a sharp pinch. If we are so insecure about our own wilderness, then I don't think that a thin film of linen can do benefit to the cause!!! And hence, we see so many atrocities happening everywhere in the world, based on the very static rules we made to make this place a much better place to stay. A less wild one. A more humane one.
